Village Clerk

The Village Clerk serves as the official recordkeeper and administrative officer for the Village, responsible for maintaining transparency, supporting the Village Board, and ensuring compliance with state and local requirements. Below are just a few of the responsibilities:

  • Maintain official records of the Village
  • Prepare and post meeting notices and agendas
  • Record and prepare minutes of all Village Board meetings
  • Publish and attest ordinances and legal notices 
  • Respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests 
  • Maintain election records and coordinate with the County Clerk on local elections
  • Grants parade permits
  • Grants street closures
  • Administer Liquor License's and Non-Highway Vehicle Permit
