The Village of Yates City is responsible for protecting our community's health, safety and welfare through effective enforcement of codes and ordinances. Municipal codes are a collection of laws passed by the Board of Trustees. The laws themselves can be referred to as ordinances, which have the force and effect of law in the Village of Yates City.
