Village Attorney

The Village Attorney serves as the legal counsel for the Village of Yates City. The attorney provides legal advice to the Village President, Board of Trustees, Village Clerk, and Village Treasurer on matters relating to municipal government. The Village Attorney prepares and reviews ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents; represents the Village in legal proceedings when necessary; and helps ensure the Village operates in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
