Village Treasurer

The Village Treasurer is responsible for the financial management and safeguarding of village funds, in accordance with the Illinois Municipal Code. Below are just a few of the responsibilities:

• Receive and safeguard all village funds
• Keep accurate records of all receipts and disbursements
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
• Pay out funds only as authorized
• Assist in budget preparation and appropriations
• Submit reports required by law
• Ensure compliance with municipal and state law
• Oversee payroll and benefits
• Coordinate audits with external auditors
